Sean first began performing as a classically trained violinist, but it wasn't until he experienced the pit orchestra in high school that he decided he'd rather be on the stage, than in it.
While pursuing his BFA in Illustration at the Rhode Island School of Design, Sean took advantage of the theatre program right next door at Brown University, where he would eventually write, design, and perform a solo show as his senior thesis project (Into the West). He also took every opportunity to keep playing the violin, as well as opening up to singing in a capella and musical theater.

Mask and puppetry was a natural extension of Sean's skills and interests, and he has taken every chance he can get to learn everything from fabrication to performance. Over the years, he has worked with the Big Nazo Lab (Providence), The Old Trout Puppet Workshop (New England), Per Brahe/Studio5 (NYC), Movement Theatre Studio (NYC), and the Dell'Arte International Abroad Program (Bali, Indonesia).
Upon moving to New York, Sean continued to grow as an actor with various groups such as The Shakespeare Forum and the Bats, the resident acting company of The Flea Theater.
Sean is continually drawn to theatre with bold aesthetic and stylistic choices, created through ensemble, movement, and gesture-based processes. His work as a visual artist continually informs the choices he makes as an actor, and vice-versa. One day, he hopes to join or create a company that encompasses these ideals.
