The Recognition of Shakuntala is a poetic masterpiece of Kalidasa, written in the golden age of Sanskrit theatre, sometime around the 4th century CE and based on a tale from the epic, The Mahabharata. In this contemporary devised adaptation, we invite our audiences into an immersive world of puppets, live music, and movement as we explore themes of love, memory, betrayal, and forgiveness.
