An exciting re-imagining of the classic Faust myth. Here is Gertrude Stein's libretto, DOCTOR FAUSTUS LIGHTS THE LIGHTS, given new life. Furnished with an all new electronic score by Deepali Gupta and Zachary Segel, our 360° immersive spectacle FAUSTUS directed by Abby Colella, is at once outrageous, elegant, otherworldly, and visceral. Audience members stand in the center of a post industrial light cage, a baffling and beautiful landscape of multiplicity and hubris. FAUSTUS is part panoptic concert, interactive funhouse, light show, dance party, Stein Slam. Lights will be lit, dimmed, books eaten, hearts stung, and we may or may not go to hell, but either way, it will all be "very well, very well," at DOCTOR FAUSTUS LIGHTS THE LIGHTS.
