Sean began as a freelance designer during his time at RISD by meeting the needs of the theatre community at Brown University, where he made all manner of posters, masks, and puppets. He found that his designs were always best served with an intimate understanding of the productions as a whole, often from his direct involvement as an actor from within these very same productions.
Upon bringing his skills to New York, Sean takes the utmost care to understand the personalities of the clients and organizations he works with, finding new ways to articulate them for web, print, or stage. His work features a unique blend of hand drawn elements and bold use of type and color.

Mask and puppet work has become more of a personal passion that Sean hopes will one day eclipse his rent-paying duties, as they are both time and labor intensive. Sean has studied wood-carving with Ida-Bagus Oka in Bali, Indonesia, as well as foam and latex puppet fabrication with The Big Nazo Lab in Providence. He has also worked with The Old Trout Puppet Workshop in a holistic designer-performer setting. Sean is actively pursuing internal and external sources of work in this field, and is delighted at whatever comes his way!
